Photo of George Ann Rice.George Ann Rice, Ph.D., retired as associate superintendent, Human Resources Division, and chief negotiator of the Clark County School District, Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 1, 2007. She served as a teacher and department chairperson at Western High School and as assistant principal at Eldorado High School. She resigned her position with the school district in 1982 to pursue an education in the legal field and practiced law in California as a civil litigator for more than five years, returning to the school district in January of 1991. Dr. Rice earned her bachelor’s degree in 1963 at the University of Nevada–Reno. She received her M.B.A. degree in 1969 and her doctoral degree in educational administration in 1982 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Rice earned her juris doctor degree in 1985 from the University of California, Los Angeles.
