America’s Challenge: Effective Teachers for At-Risk Schools and Students
In the two years since the launch of the National Comprehensive Center for Teacher Quality , a tremendous amount of information has been compiled about the availability, recruitment, and retention of teachers for at-risk schools and students. National Comprehensive Center for Teacher Quality has compiled much of this learning in its inaugural biennial report.

The Teacher Preparation > Teacher Practices > Student Outcomes Relationship in Special Education: Missing Links and New Connections
Although a synthesis of existing research about the relationship between teachers' preparation to teach special education students, their instructional practices once in the classroom, and their students' eventual learning achievement was found to be impossible, there is still much to be learned about this relationship. The search illuminated the practical and methodological challenges in doing such research, which led to a set of recommendations for how to develop appropriate studies in the future.
